Project area located in towns of Blenheim and Fulton, Schoharie County, New York. Reconnaissance archaeological examination. For Progress Report see PAF Report no. 792. For Interim Report see PAF Report no. 793. Survey limited due to denial of access. Survey methods: file search, interviews, literature and document search, surface inspection, shovel test pits. Twelve prehistoric sites identified. Joslyn-McNamara Site, NYSM 1, artifacts: flint, debitage, biface, bone, shell, kaolin, historic ceramics. Baker Rockshelter Site, NYSM 2, artifacts: flint debitage, prehistoric pottery, bone. King Site, NYSM 3, artifacts: flint debitage. Shaul Site, NYSM 4, artifacts: flint, debitage, flakes, bifaces, side-notched projectile point, Fox Creek Stemmed projectile points, Susquehanna Broad projectile point, Orient fishtail projectile point, hammerstone. Wood Site, NYSM 5, artifacts: flint debitage, quartz. Parslow Site, NYSM 6, artifacts: debitage, flakes, bifaces, Levanna projectile point, sinewstone, prehistoric pottery, bone. Romagnoli Site, NYSM 7, artifacts: flint, cores, chips. Schafer Site, NYSM 8, artifacts: debitage, flake, Levanna projectile point. Bielfeldt Site, NYSM 9, artifacts: debitage, prehistoric pottery, fire-cracked rock, bone. Nelson Site, NYSM 10, artifacts: debitage, flakes, bifaces, adze, drill, anvil stone. R. King Site, NYSM 11, artifacts: flint, debitage, flake, charcoal, fire-stained soil. Hilltop Site, NYSM 12, artifacts: nodules, debitage. No historic sites identified. Recommendations: further excavations for NYSM 2, NYSM 4, NYSM 6, NYSM 8, NYSM 9, NYSM 10. This report includes two maps, proposed budget for archaeological salvage excavation.
